Patrick “Pat” Ridge is the owner and co-founder of Graceland Ranch Sober Living. Pat comes off as a drug rehab celebrity on a lousy power trip. Pat craves attention and the spotlight; whether from his days in Hyper Crash or his various social media channels, Pat is everywhere. Pat has several businesses and ventures. Until this week, he had a Google Business Profile (GBP) for Ridge Weddings. Ridge Weddings was his wedding video production company for weddings. I had Google remove it. Today, Google suspended his Ridge Productions GBP, another video Production business. I discovered his Ridge Weddings’ GBP when I audited the Graceland Ranch Sober Living Reviews. A user named Chris S reviewed Ridge Weddings six years ago and Graceland two years ago.
On July 22nd, 2023, I reported Graceland’s 638 Google reviews to Google. Google dropped them down to 197 reviews. Sadly, Google didn’t remove them all. Between November 8th, 2023, and November 13th, 2023, Graceland amassed 199 Google reviews. Three of the reviews were 1-stars, while the rest were 5-stars. On Monday, November 13th, I once again contacted Google to have them investigate Graceland’s reviews. By Wednesday, November 15th, Graceland went from 508 to 211 reviews. Graceland’s went from a 4.6 rating down to a 4.1 rating.
I performed an exhaustive audit and found a review from Pat’s dad and Pat’s band, Hyper Crush. Several reviews from people stated that they had never been there. I confronted Graceland about their reviews, and they provided me with the following statement.
I was alerted to a new GBP for Found Recovery. Pat Ridge and Danielle Nepus again co-founded it. There are two 5-star reviews, one from Graceland Cameras and one from Patrick Ridge. Graceland refuses to listen to me about the dangers of posting fake reviews. I will be turning this matter over to the FTC.
Any consumer looking for a sober home or IOP can’t trust the reviews of Graceland Ranch Sober Living or Found Recovery. People who have never stayed at Graceland leave reviews based on Pat’s social media channels. They are not doing anybody a service by inflating the review counts. Time will tell how many reviews Google reviews and if the FTC takes the case or refers the matter to another agency.
