I had somebody contact me regarding possible fake reviews for 815 Remodeling. It was more than just fake positive reviews. Zack hires subcontractors to perform the remodeling jobs. That is acceptable as long as the customer knows it. One of the subcontractors has a substantial drinking problem. Zack Larson admitted this via text with an unhappy customer.
Google removed the three fake reviews on the Google Business Profile (GBP). There is a positive review that I have flagged for removal as it doesn’t describe a customer experience and was posted to defend the company. The review was left by Torrie Parish (Frahm). She is a business development specialist with the BBB. Let’s see how long that remains. Zack left a 5-star review for his mom’s GBP. The review was removed when I got Debbie’s GBP removed. Debbie left a recommendation on Nextdoor.
Zack’s girlfriend, Marissa Villani, also recommended his business and claimed that she had hired his company. Zack told me he did work for her, and that’s how they met. If that is the case, why did she leave this Yelp review on August 10, 2042?
On August 13th, 2024, 815 Remodeling received four Facebook reviews. Jeff Ronald, Prestige Dave, Dominion Josh, and Adebayo Olamipekun reviewed several of the same businesses. They reviewed Citiciti Real Estate, Daniels Roofing LLC – Israel Villarreal, Elite Real Estate Solution, Lnemobile INT’L, Precision Stone Fabricators, and others.
These fake reviews can cause 815 Remodeling to lose its BBB accreditation. I will forward my findings to my BBB contact.
Update November 16, 2024:
I was advised of the following Nextdoor thread. There is a lot to unpack. One Zack is not only defensive but victim-blaming. He claims that work is completed, but the photos contradict him. In one of Zack’s comments, he states that it is impossible to do so many jobs and not have a few upset customers. It must be tiring be Zack, it’s always somebody else’s fault, and never his. It’s the subcontractor’s Home Depot, his Fiverr vendor, and his clients. We call this the Dicktim mentality. It’s when you act like a dick and play the victim.
Zack asks his clients to sign an NDA to prevent them from posting negative comments about him online. This NDA violates all consumer protection laws. I don’t know how Dave and Judy C. are, but they need to stop attempting to defend Zack; they are failing miserably.
Zack left a comment, and I emailed him back. He was full of excuses and made countless excuses. He never furnished me with the evidence he claimed to have. Our correspondence ended with him threatening me and telling me not to contact him again. I will honor his request.

maybe before the blasting misinformation on somebody’s business because of what a former employee tells you. You should reach out to the business owner that you are trash, talking! There’s two sides to every story and this is terrible journalism or whatever you wanna call it. Call 815-979-3015 if you care to hear the truth

Thank you for standing up for us! He always threatens to sue or “his lawyer” is going to contact us next if we dare leave a bad review. He’s such a manchild, and I am sure his mom thinks he’s a perfect angel who can do no wrong. Guess she never taught him accountability.

Zachary is a terrible person. He stole from my mother! My mother! A disabled woman trying to get affordable work done. He’s been “done” with a friend of mines project for a week now but still has materials and things left to do. He has horrible time management and shouldn’t own a business
