I received an anonymous tip that Micro Fix Computer and Laptop Service Center offered discounts and paid people to post Google reviews. They posted the offers on Twitter. I did what I normally do: I redressed the business profile. The person who emailed me took to Twitter—sorry, I will never refer to it by its new stupid name—and Reddit. I wasn’t the only person who saw the Reddit post. The business owner did. The business owner is upset about this image ranking on Google.
The business owner replied to my comment and asked me to dm them. At the time, I didn’t know it was the business owner. Imagine my surprise when they started the conversation by telling me to ignore the business and the fake reviews. The owner offered to pay me to stay silent. When I said no, he deleted those messages. Too late; I got screenshots. Next, he said he would “raise complaint about you.” Congrats, that comment caused me to write this post. He has since deleted all of the messages he sent me and his reply. He then decided it would be a good idea to mouth off to the person who created the thread and posted, “Stfu u mf who the hell are you what do you want, why are you being cringe.”
Please enjoy the dm conversation we had.
