During the National League Championship Series, a Brewer Fan said, “Let’s Call Ice,” on a Latino Dodger fan. The video has gone viral. According to news reports, the exchange took place after Enrique “Kiké” Hernández scored to make it 4 to 1 for the Dodgers. Ricardo Fosado stood up and, with his cell phone in hand, asked the crowd why they were so quiet. When he faced Shannon Kobykarcyk, things became heated. It first started with Shannon by saying, “Real men drink beer, pussy.” She follows that up by saying, “Let’s call Ice.” This comment has people on the internet talking.
Some people are calling out Ricardo for his actions, while others are defending him. The people calling him out are being met with people asking, Why are they not taking more issues with Shannon. Both of them are in the wrong. Ricardo claims that he recieved comments from Brewer fans after Jackson Chourio led off the game with a solo home run. The Dodgers took the lead in the top of the second and never looked back. Five innings later, Ricardo decided to taunt fans by standing up with his phone out and started taunting fans by asking, “Why are you so quiet?” Ricardo said that alcohol could have been a factor in his decision to act this way. I have been to plenty of Dodger games where fans from the opposing teams stood up and heckled the home crowd. They, too, have their phones in their hands. Are they doing it for the memories or to capture a viral moment?

Shannon has since been fired from her job, while Ricardo is conducting interviews. Ricardo was ejected from the stadium. This is not the end of it. People are discussing it on various social media platforms. I have seen at least six threads on the Dodgers Subreddit and two on the Baseball Subreddit. The moderators are removing them.

This discussion has left social media and crossed into people attacking the business with fake reviews. Ricardo’s business, Foxtrot Construction, is receiving negative Google reviews. Shannon’s former employer, Manpower Group, is also receiving fake negative Google reviews.

I believe everyone has a right to weigh in and express their opinions on this matter. Everyone is free to post comments here. I will approve all of them. I won’t censor any of them. Both parties are in the wrong. I am not going to say one party is more at fault. I do draw the line with attacking the businesses with fake reviews. That not only crosses a boundary, but also violates Google’s TOS.
