Why should people be worried about Maspeth Dental? On the surface, this practice has a 4.9 Google rating with 358 reviews. Sadly a lot of those reviews are fake. I was able to identify several fake or suspicious reviews by clicking on random profiles. I was also able to run a report using Tech company that identifies fake google reviews and his tool found 92 suspicious reviews. The tool looks for patterns where a reviewer has left reviews for more than 2 businesses. For example, the tool found that Howard Amber reviewed, Skyward Roofing Contractor – Bronx and Aldric Concrete Contractors. Fifteen people reviewed Maspeth Dental and Skyward Roofing Contractor – Bronx. This is not even mathematically possible. Skywark Roofing has 3 business profiles and nineteen different people reviewed them and Maspeth Dental. I did notice several other patterns in the businesses being reviewed. There were several contractors, lawyers, and roofers that received reviews from people that reviewed Maspeth Dental. I asked Curtis Boyd about Maspeth Dental and he said, “Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon to see dentists using fake positive reviews to bring in new patients. Some dentists are unaware that their marketing team decided to use deceptive marketing practices. Regardless of how the fake reviews got there, fake reviews are bad for consumers and need to be addressed. Every business is accountable for its reviews.” I don’t see this being the case here. as Maspeth Dental has been highlighting their reviews on Social Media.
Maspeth Dental has been creating Google posts to highlight their reviews. They have also been sharing these fake reviews on their Facebook page. They shared the review posted by Lee Brandon. Yes, that name is ridiculous and appears to be Brandon Lee in reverse. Maybe Brandon came back to life as he did in The Crow. Lee reviewed Concrete Contractors Yonkers. Two other people reviewed them and Maspeth Dental. Maspeth also highlighted the review posted by Muhammad Burgess. Muhammad also reviewed Concrete Contractors Yonkers. The review link on Facebook is not working. I was able to find Maspeth Dental’s Birdeye profile. I was able to find professional fake reviewer Robbie Kelli Douglas. Their review is still live. Birdeye is showing 629 reviews for Google.
I reached out to my friend Kay Dean of Fake Review Watch as she has been documenting businesses with fake reviews on her Youtube channel I showed her Maspeth Dental and she was familiar with them. She had been monitoring the dental practice for over a year. Yelp even knew that fraud was being committed as they had flagged Maspeth Dental with a consumer alert warning. Kay also provided examples of some of the fake Elite Yelp reviews that were removed. It is not uncommon to find businesses with fake Google reviews engaging in fake reviews on several platforms.
If you are looking for a dentist, you should skip Maspeth Dental and its fake reviews.
