I received a tip that Muzzy’s Shack at 555 W Street Rd #2, Warminster, PA 18974, is offering guests free drinks in exchange for 5-star Google reviews. Muzzy’s Shack has a 4.8 Google rating with 1209 reviews. There is a strange pattern with the newest reviews. Six reviews were posted 11 hours ago. 11 reviews were posted 12 hours ago. 14 reviews were posted 13 hours ago. Six reviews were posted 14 hours ago. One review was posted 20 hours ago. Muzzy’s recieved 38 reviews within a 24-hour period. That’s a lot for a fast food restaurant. One of those reviews was posted by Vincent Rameriz. Vincent wrote, “Really good food love the free drinks.”
10 months ago, aden wrote, “lol they said “write a review for a free drink” and only specified it “had” to be a 5 star review after they gave it to me and hounded me to change it while I ate.” This is not how you provide a great customer dining experience.
Four months ago, Kendle Gehlert wrote a review claiming, “Most of the reviews are good because if you write one and show them you get a free drink so be careful.” Somebody associated with the business took exception to several details in the review. They didn’t dispute the fact that they offer free drinks in exchange for reviews.
The reply to the review frustrates on several levels. In the reply, they wrote, “Any legitimate concerns should be addressed with us directly.” That is precisely what they are doing with this review. They are telling you about issues with your food, pricing, and staff. The fact that they claim this review isn’t from a customer because it was posted 5 hours after you closed shows people you don’t care about feedback.
If Muzzy’s Shack is offering free drinks in exchange for reviews, this violates Google’s TOS. Each review can cause them to fined up to $51,744 per review. These reviews won’t help the stay in business, if they continue to ignore what causes negative reviews. Several reviewers have mentioned slow service. Other reviewers mention how the resturaunt and bathroom are dirty. Other reviews mention how horrible the food is. If this business doesn’t listen to and address these complaints, they won’t be open for long.
If you are thinking about eating at Muzzy’s Shack, you had better think again.
