I recieved a tip about a lead-generation network flooding Google Maps for Legacy Healing Center. As I attempted to find and map out that network, I stumbled upon another. This network uses the name Drug Detox and the city name and/or state abbreviation. I found 106 GBPs across the United States.
I decided to call the phone number listed for Drug Detox Altadena. It has an incomplete address listed on its Google Business Profile (GBP). The address is listed as Lake Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001. There is no way this GBP could have been verified, yet it is. The person on the phone advised me that they have two facilities, one in Santa Ana and one in Desert Hot Springs. The Santa Ana location is for a Beachside facility. I was texted two links to the Premier Health Group website. When I asked for the address of the Beachside facility, I was told it’s the Brier Lane address and that they don’t give out the address for HIPAA reasons. There are no HIPAA issues with disclosing the address. I was able to find the address on several directory websites.
I used the same website to figure out that the Desert Hot Springs facility is Living Longer Recovery.
The Mountain View location is Affinity Recovery. The 5th Street facility is Axis Mental Health. The 4th Street belongs to Beachside Counseling in San Diego.
These GBPs don’t have any reviews or photos. Some of them link to a website. The Drug Detox Altadena website states, “Intrepid Recovery” is a fictitious name of Mind and Body Sober Living LLC, a subsidiary of Premier Health Group.
Back in February 2023, I mapped out the Google reviews for addiction treatment facilities and sober homes in Southern California. Beachside Recovery, Affinity Recovery, and Living Longer Recovery appeared on the list.
Premier Health Group, Beachside Recovery, and Axis Mental Health are registered using the same address, 620 Newport Center Drive, Suite 450, Newport Beach, CA 92660. Living Longer Recovery is registered under someone else’s name at a different address. There is no registration for Affinity Recovery.
