I regularly participate in various groups and forums, offering advice. Three weeks ago, a user posted on the Google My Business Subreddit about the number of spam Google Business Profiles (GBPs) in Charlotte.
I use the online name of Keyserholiday. I looked at the GBPs and noticed that they were not claimed. I used Google’s suggest an edit to remove several of the GBPs. A few days later, all the GBPs in North Charleston, SC, were removed. Imagine my surprise when one of the fake GBPs was reinstated. When I looked at the one review visible on the GBP, I noticed that they left reviews for several stripper GBPs in different states.
Sharay hayes has left reviews for several stripper GBPs.
She reviewed Illusions The Drag Queen Show in Greensboro, NC, Illusions the Drag Queen Show Denver, which has no address showing, Savage Men Male Strip Club in Scottsdale, AZ, and The Bachelor Party Hookup with no address showing. Illusions The Drag Queen Show and The Bachelor Party Hookup are owned and operated by JM Nightlife Group.
I searched Google to find all of the Honk-O-Mania GBPs. I found 12 GBPs. Only four GBPs are listed on the website. All 12 GBPs are out of compliance with Google’s TOS. Hunk-O-Mania is using addresses where they are not located. They even faked a street address. I audited the list of locations they have posted on their website. Out of the 60 addresses listed on their website, 43 addresses do not have a GBP. 12 addresses are set as TBD. Their Search Engine Optimization (SEO) person informed me they were suspended.
Let’s go back to Sharay hayes’s Google profile. The fact that they left five reviews for businesses associated with JM Nightlife Group could cost them $51,744 per review. The North Charleston GBP is not the only one with suspicious reviews. I found suspicious reviews for the Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach locations. Maria Loiacono reviewed two Hunk-O-Mania locations, the one in Myrtle Beach and the New York City location. They also reviewed Booze N’ Brush Sip and Paint in Chicago, IL, Music City Male Revue Show – Male Strippers Nashville in Nashville, TN, and Red Velvet Burlesque Show Miami in Miami Beach, FL. Jeanine Petrucci reviewed Diva Royale Drag Queen Dinner Show in Orlando, FL, BuffBoyzz Gay Male Strip Club & Male Strippers For Hire in New Orleans, LA, Red Velvet Burlesque & Cabaret Dinner Show Boston in Boston MA, Red Velvet Burlesque Show Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN, Music City Male Revue Show – Male Strippers Nashville in Nashville, TN, and the Hunk-O-Mania Myrtle Beach and New York City locations. All of these businesses are associated with JM Nightlife Group. That is highly suspicious.
I will map out all the other brands and turn that list over to Google for removal.
